Audition Coaching
What Will Audition Coaching Give Me?
Delivering a killer audition takes a different set of skills than the ones you learned in acting school. Whether you're going to producers tomorrow or want to practice before the pressure's on, you'll learn to:
- Discover the hidden opportunities in the script that set your performance apart, so you'll leave CDs, directors, writers and producers wanting to work with you again and again.
- Conquer the pre-audition freakout that gets in your way, so you can do your best work every time you walk into the audition room.
- Nail every aspect of your audition with confidence - the audience, the chit-chat, the camera, and the reading - and walk out knowing you're in the running to book the role.
How Does Audition Coaching Work?
- Email workingactorwisdom@gmail.com to book a session at the studio. You can specify 30 or 60 minutes, or leave it open-ended. Then prepare as you normally do.
- During coaching, we'll read the scene(s) several times, asking questions and making adjustments - always with the goal of deepening your understanding of the material, and making your choices more specific and nuanced. If you have questions about things like wardrobe, eyelines, pre-audition nerves, how to handle the waiting room, etc., we'll cover those too.
- The goal is to get you to a point where you're comfortable and confident in your choices, and feel ready to walk into the room and deliver your best work.
How Much Does Audition Coaching Cost?
- In Person or over Skype/FaceTime - $100/ 1 hour session (or $50 for 30 minutes)
