We're 25% done with 2015. Crazy, right? But true.
How's the year been so far for your acting career? Better than the first quarter of last year? Worse? The same? (If you have no idea, that's ok to admit.)
If it's not going as well as you'd like, I have a few questions for you. No judgement. We're just diagnosing what's going on.
- Have you consistently been doing one thing every day for your career?
- Are you clear about you goals?
- Are you giving in to self-sabotage?
- Are you using all of the tools at your disposal, like social media, workshops, and networking, to move forward?
- Are you mad that I'm asking these questions because really what's going on is that you're just plain stuck?
Give yourself the gift of a career checkup. If you feel great about the answers, bravo! Keep going! If you don't like the answers to one or more of these questions, GREAT. No beating yourself up. Give yourself a round of applause for doing the work of answering them, and then decide what changes to make. Just pick one or two, and really commit to doing things differently.
